Uw ZorgCompaan offers nursing care. We offer clients with physical limitations or a chronic illness, nursing care at home on various times of the day. Our clients have for example physical limitations as a result of a spinal cord injury or a serious accident or an illness, such as Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Uw ZorgCompaan is experienced in caring for clients with spinal cord injury, ALS with or without respiratory care, kidney failure requiring home dialysis, among others.
Uw ZorgCompaan offers nursing care at home, so clients can continue to live at home. This has the advantage that they do not have to move to a care facility or nursing home and can stay in their familiar environment.
Uw ZorgCompaan works with foreign nurses who are temporarily staying and working in the Netherlands. Our nurses come from Hungary, Poland, Romania, Spain and Portugal and have a diploma that is recognised in the Netherlands. If additional training is needed, such as caring for respiratory patients or nursing actions during home dialysis, we will provide it. This way, our nurses are always up to date with the current guidelines and protocols in the Netherlands.
Uw ZorgCompaan has almost 10 years of experience in healthcare. Our clients’ advisors are experienced and will coach our foreign nurses. They are intermediaries between patients, nurses and the organisation. If nurses need any help or a sympathetic ear, they can contact the client’s advisor.
As a nurse you work on average 36 hours a week. It does not matter whether it is at night or during the day. Work is carried out in accordance with the Dutch working agreements (CAO) for nursing homes and home care (VVT). Because our nurses come to the Netherlands from abroad, we like to deploy them for a longer period of time. This is in accordance with the Working Hours Act regarding holidays and days off. Mostly nurses work in a team with several other nurses. Besides their mother tongue, for nurses it is required to speak English or German. It is also possible to take a course to learn Dutch.
We strive for permanent care teams for each client. This allows clients and nurses to get to know each other well and become familiar with each other. Depending on the clients care requirements, Uw ZorgCompaan can strengthen an existing care team, form a full care team or provide nursing care several times a week.
Sometimes a client will have sufficient living space. In that case the nurses can live in the home of the client, but are free to leave the house after a shift. If there is no living space, Uw ZorgCompaan will arrange for external accommodation.
